Apple Picking!

Last Monday, which was a holiday, my friend Polly took me apple picking. She has been doing it ever since she was a little girl, so you could say she's a "pro", and took me during the best time of the year, explained the difference among the kinds of apples (there were over 10 different varieties...who knew?) and showed me how to pick them off the tree. It was a beautiful ride in the car to get there, seeing the beautiful New England foliage along the way. It was a great New England Fall day. Now, I have more apples than I know what to do with at home (even after taking some to school this past week)....so apple recipes are welcome!
